Several wordpress themes have a problem where a duplicate "Home Page" shows up in the Menu when you are using a "Static Page" as your Home page.

If you want to get rid of the duplicate home page, you must follow these instructions:

•     – Login into your blog wp-admin
•     – Got to Appearance and select "Editor"
•     – Select Header.php from the Template list
•     – Find wp_list_pages(‘….stuff here…’)
•     – Just before it should be a line with something like<li><a href=”….. some code…..Home</li>
•     – Delete that line
•     – Update File

Now your page should have only one "Home" button (page)

The following are some simple instructions to set up a new backup volume from scratch and have Apple Time Machine to recognize it:

♦ Find your machine name (machine_name) and run the following command in terminal (in this example we're creating a 250GB partition):

hdiutil create -size 250G -fs HFS+J -volname 'My Backups' -type SPARSEBUNDLE machine_name.sparsebundle

♦ The output should be something like machine_name.sparsebundle under your user's home directory.

♦ You will need to find your hardware UUID in the System Profiler.

♦ Create a file (using your text editor) and name it TimeMachine.MachineID.plist and add your machine's UUID to it.

Here is an example of the file content:

♦ Start Time Machine disk configuration. Your new disk should appear there and TM should be able to use as a backup up disk.

However there is a way to access "Cisco Connect".

1- Go you your router web gui and change the router password to match your network SSID password:

2- Make sure that your broadcasting the SSID. If you are not, you can enable temporarily and change it back after you finish using Cisco Connect

3- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\Cisco Connect\Settings\Settings.xml and edit the fields:

The SSID and Admin/Wireless passwords must be all the same.

4- Save it and run Cisco Connect. You should be able to run it now.

You upgraded to iOS device to 4.2.1 and now want to be able to print but you don't own one of those new HP printers that support Airprint… You can still print using your PC shared printers following these steps:

1. Download and install iTunes 10.1 from the Apple Website
2. Download "Airprint Enabler.zip": http://www.freddyreyes.com/utilities/dl/?did=42
3. Unzip it
4. Run "Airprint Install 32 Bits.bat"  or "Airprint Install 64 Bits.bat" as administrator (based on your Windows version).
5. Go to C:\Program Files\Airprint or C:\Program Files (x86)\AirPrint\ (if you have Windows 64 Bits) and  double click on the airprint.exe
6. On the Windows Firewall window allow AirPrint to communicate with the networks (Home/Private)

The solution it's to disable DNSMasq in you router's basic setup configuration screen.

Here is how to fix it:

1- Point your browser to your router's ip address: e.g. http://192.168.1.1 and enter your administrator user and password.

2- Select Setup – Basic Configuration and at the DHCP section uncheck "Use DNSMasq for DHCP" and "Use DNSMasq for DNS"

3- Save and reboot your router.

4- Now Netflix applicati0n on your iPad/iPhone should work with WI-FI.
