How to restore Skype Speed Dial Functionality

If you upgraded to Skype 4.X you may have noticed that Skype removed the Speed Dial option from the client.

If you are using a USB Skype Box or Skype Diverter you won’t be able to dial any of your contacts from your regular phone.

Until Skype fix this issue; the only option to add/edit speed dial contacts is:

First download and run Skype protocol tracer: Here
Second confirm at skype that you allow Tracer.exe access to skype.
To find out speeddial of a user, type GET USER username SPEEDDIAL in the box below and click on Send command
To set a new speedial, use command: SET USER username SPEEDDIAL number
